Who runs the platform

The platform is developed and operated by MF Developers, which is responsible for it. Contact: contact@guidemeegypt.com

What the platform is

An introduction platform: each guide has a page that presents them, and travelers contact the guide directly and agree with them independently.

• We don't organize trips, and we don't book hotels, flights or transport.
• We don't sell tour packages, and we don't receive the price of a tour or any payment from travelers.
• We are not a party to any agreement between a traveler and a guide.

Our relationship with official bodies

The platform is not affiliated with Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities or the Tour Guides Syndicate, and does not speak for either. If the law requires a license or approval for how the platform works or for any service we add, we will obtain it before offering the service.

Cost and how we make money

Registering and a guide's page are currently free, and we take no commission from guides or from their dealings with travelers.

In the future we may offer optional paid services, such as featured pages, advertising or marketing services. We will announce them in advance, nobody will be forced to use them, and we will not take a percentage of a guide's fee.

Registering as a guide

• You must be 18 or older and work as a tour guide in Egypt.
• Your details must be accurate and up to date, and you may register only yourself.
• You are responsible for the email you sign in with and any activity from it.

Guides agree to

• Hold the licenses required to work as a tour guide under Egyptian law, and never claim otherwise.
• Own the rights to the photos they upload and have the consent of the people in them.
• Keep photos free of text, phone numbers, logos or watermarks, and keep tours free of phone numbers, links or other contact details.
• Not mislead travelers about their experience, languages, what tours include or their prices.
• Take sole responsibility for the service they provide and their agreement with the traveler.

Content and rights

Guides keep ownership of the text and photos they upload. They give us a free, non-exclusive license to show this content on the platform and to share their page link to promote it while it is published; the license ends when the page is hidden or deleted.

The platform's name, logo and design belong to us.

Review, publishing and suspension

Every page, change, photo and tour is reviewed before it appears. We publish a page once the guide has consented and meets our publishing requirements (including a clear profile photo and at least 3 tour photos). We may refuse or remove misleading or inappropriate content, and suspend any account that breaks these terms, and we tell the guide why.

The verified badge

The blue badge means we saw the guide's license when we reviewed it. It is not an official certificate and not a guarantee of service quality.

For travelers

• Agree directly and in writing with your guide on the date, meeting point, what's included and the price.
• We never take payments. Anyone asking you to transfer money in the name of Guide Me Egypt is not us; please tell us right away.
• The guide alone is responsible for the service they provide.

Limits of our responsibility

We make reasonable efforts to review pages, but we cannot guarantee that everything guides write is accurate or the quality of their services, and we are not responsible for agreements or payments between travelers and guides. The platform is provided as is and may pause for maintenance.

Closing an account

A guide can ask us at any time to hide their page or delete their account, and we delete their data as described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We update the date at the top with every change. For any significant change we email guides well before it takes effect, and may ask for their consent again.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt.
